World Vison Japan Benefit – Leeds

 

I’m helping Lloyd (Southport, Blocko, Ruin You!  Spines) raise some much needed cash for those in need over in Japan as a result of the recent earthquake.  All money raised from this event will be going over to Kazu from Boss Tuneage Records in Japan to distribute locally.

Skimmer (photo above from lord only knows when, I shamelessly nicked it from their myspace) are without a doubt in my top ten UK punk bands of all time.  They’ve been going since the dawn of time, effortlessly pumping out pop-punk hit after hit so it was an honour and very much a pleasure to play with them in Cambridge last year. I found this recording along with the Helen Chambers one recently and Kev was kind enough to allow me to put it up here so enjoy!  The band have a brand new album out so visit their myspace and order away, I believe you can also order it via itunes but get in touch with them instead I reckon to pass over some well earned cash to them.  Honestly they are one of the most underrated bands we have here in the UK, if you’re into proper pop-punk ala The Ramones, early Green Day (i.e. squeeky but intelligent well polished awesomeness) then download this now.
